A traditional favorite and famous around this house.
INGREDIENTS:
A few slices of Bread, to be made into toast when ready to serve
1 small bottle Dried Beef; about 10 slices or more
notch of Butter
about 1/4 cup Flour
about 1/2 Cup or more of WHOLE Milk
about 4 Tablespoons Creamed Cheese
NOTE: I ONLY cook with WHOLE Milk. If you drink non fat or 2% that's fine and dandy, but if you're going to incorporate a Milk into any sauce, only use WHOLE Milk. You can buy in single serving size (I guess they come by the 1/2 pint and larger) if you don't normally stock this. I do not recommend you cook with non fat or 2% as it will make the sauce soupy and runny.
DIRECTIONS:
With scissors, cut up the Beef and set aside. With a notch of Butter, begin to saute the Beef on low.
Add Flour and whisk quickly.
Add the Milk and continue to whisk quickly.
Add the Creamed Cheese and continue to whisk until it all melted.
Make Toast.Plate Toast, pour Chipped Beef mixture over and serve.
